Tarte Foundation and Brush

Tarte's Amazonian clay 12 hour Foundation in my opinion is the creme de la creme, as they say. It is such a wonderful product and looks very natural when applied. This long-wear foundation is oil free and works wonders to diminish pores, cover imperfections and discolorations. It provides a medium to full amount of coverage without looking cakey.

I am seriously in love with this foundation. It provides a matte finish although I have been mixing a bit of Laura Mercier's radiance primer in with it to give my skin a bit of
glow and dimension.

I also purchased tarte's Buffer Air Brushed Foundation Brush.  It is quite a large brush with soft, dense bristles and a big beautiful wooden handle. When the foundation is buffed on with this it really does give you that perfect airbrushed, natural look. It is very good quality and I am sure will stand the test of time. Another great investment piece (wink).

Together these two products are magic. If you are thinking about trying it don't wait a second more, buy it! Tarte products are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates,  sodium lauryl sulfates, and gluten, which earns a big check in my books!

  1. I so want to try this, heard such great things about it from so many bloggers but think it might be a wee bit heavy! Need to swatch ASAP x

    1. Hey Jasmin, it is actually not as heavy as you think. I was thinking the same thing you are. It's more if a medium coverage if you buff it on, like I do. I recently got a sample of tarte's BB cream and really like it as well. It might be a bit lighter option if that is what you normally go for. Thanks so much for commenting.

  2. I'm currently using Bobbi Brown's Skin Foundation stick. It's amazing and so natural. I've used MAC's for ages and wanted a change!! :) I've never tried Tarte's beauty products though I've read about them. I'd love to try them some time. xx

    1. I like the sounds of the Bobbi Brown Foundation stick. I will have to have a peek next time I am in Sephora. If you have not tried any tarte products I would suggest their 12 hour blushes, they are gorgeous. Thanks for commenting!
