Sephora Starstruck!

My family and I went away for a few days (watch for future post) and on the way back we stopped into Sephora. I have only ever shopped online and never stepped foot into the actual store. I am sure you all know that I am bit makeup crazed and thoroughly enjoy trying new face creams, washes etc. As you can imagine this was AMAZING!
My wonderful husband dropped me off and I was on the clock for 45 minutes of uninterrupted Sephora freedom. As I approached the store entrance my belly filled with happy butterflies. I walked in and was immediately greeted very warmly by Sephora staff.

My mission was to find a foundation and a concealer as I cannot be color matched online. The Sephora girl quickly had me sit and take off my existing makeup. She choose to try the Boscia BB cream on me. She explained that it has wonderful health benefits as well as sun protection but also offers a bit of coverage. It would be nice and light for the summer.

The Bosica BB cream is very nice and it did gave me a wonderful luminous finish although of course they were out of the smaller size.  I would much rather try something out in a small size before committing to a larger size.  Now that I know I might order the smaller one online.

One of the foundations on my wish list was tarte's Amazionian Clay - Air Brush Foundation. This powder foundation provides more of a matte look and you can apply a little (like me) or a lot. It is extremely build-able. After trying this in the store I decided it was worth all the hype and into the"actual cart", not virtual (wink) it went.

The girl also brushed tart's - Amazionan Clay 12 hour blush in tipsy onto my cheeks. I immediately feel in love and had to have this too. I did not mention this product at all so I am beginning to wonder if the Sephora staff have mind reading abilities. It has been on my want list for a while but had not planned on purchasing it this trip. Oppps!

I looked at the Bite display and was immediately drawn to Cin Cin which is a luminous creme lipstick in a tropical coral color. Once applied it was a done deal. SOLD! By the way Bite is an all natural, food grade quality company from Toronto, Ontario. Love this brand!

My Sephora adventure was so awesome! I could seriously spend a whole day in there browsing products, trying things on etc. So much fun! I will admit that my recent purchases opened the VIB status which gets me a free makeover and 10% discount.  Woohooo more reasons to shop, shop, shop! (joking hubbie)

Me with my new purchases on!

Have you tried any of these products?

    1. Hi Alana, thanks so much for your comment. As a Tarte lover myself, I can tell you the powder foundation is great, and super easy to use. I hope to soon purchase the 12 hour liquid foundation as well. I have been trying a sample and really like it as well. Thanks for stopping by!
