Blogging and Jogging

Well I thought I should give you a little update on the two new happenings in my life lately, jogging and blogging.

I can honestly say I think I am finally getting this jogging thing down pat. My new sneakers and I have formed a pretty solid and consistent relationship. I am becoming much more comfortable and no longer feel like an idiot barreling down the trail (ha ha). Have you ever started something new and just felt like you stuck out like a sore thumb? Well that's what I felt like. Now that it has been a couple of weeks my confidence has arrived!

Since I cannot rely on my dog to jog with me, I have since found a new buddy, my iPod shuffle.  The music just kicks me right into gear. I think it is essential now!  I have to be careful with the song choices though. It can't be anything that makes me want to belt out and sing along. Imagine that, girl huffing and puffing and singing along, not so cool.  The other day while jogging I was listening to "George Baker's, Little Green Bag" and suddenly felt the urge to air drum while jogging, definitely not cool either.

Earlier Daft Punk has been my new "safe" choice. They have a good beat and not a whole lot of vocals. I foresee many more happy techno/funk infused jogging trails ahead.

Lastly, my blogging adventure! A lot of people have asked me, "how do you have the time"? Well..... this has become my "after the kids go to bed project".  It has taken the place of my usual TV time, well except for the Bachelorette of course.  I make a plan Sunday night and write down all my ideas for the following week. So far I have managed to write a post every night and publish it before I head to work early the next morning.

This has really become a wonderful hobby and does not feel like work what so ever. I get the greatest joy and sense of accomplishment out of this process. I get to express myself and share my creativity.  When I see the numbers of people viewing my blog from all around the world it makes me ecstatic. I guess it is kind of like fuel to fire, if you know what I mean.

I am really loving the challenge as well as the whole learning aspect to the blogosphere. The minute this is not fun I will throw in the towel, but for now I am not going anywhere. The ideas are circulating faster then I can currently transcribe. I am having a blast!

I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for taking the time to read and follow my blog. As you know, this blog is about me, things I love, my passions and my family etc. To be honest it's been kind of scary putting myself out there and allowing myself to be vulnerable. Thanks for all the positive feedback and comments, it makes me feel extremely secure knowing I have your support! A mega huge thanks to my wonderful husband, aka "editor" as none of this could be possible without his help and encouragement!

So don't touch that dial. Stay tuned cause there is lots more to come!
