Is it Light Blue or Green?

Some might argue that this nail color is light green, although I believe it to be light blue. The name Mint Candy Apple actually implies it is green, but I still see blue. Man oh man, I am having flashbacks to the crazy/confusing picture of the dress that has been circulating the net last week. BTW if you know what I mean, I saw white/gold than it changed to blue/brown before my eyes. Crazy! Now all I see is the Blue/Brown. OK, OK enough.......

I always like to experiment with different nail colors. This time I choose the "light blue" and the gold glitter index finger. I have to say I am loving this combo. I may even go crazy wild and embellish them all with the glitter next time. Watch me (wink).

I decided a while back that all I wanted (and needed) for my birthday this year was new winter boots! I finally got my birthday boots! My birthday was well over a month ago but I wanted to take my time and find a great deal. BINGO! I found one! These ones are from Naturalizer and were originally $260! They were marked down to $100, then what finally push me over the edge was an extra 20% off coupon that brought them down to $80. It gives me such pleasure knowing I got a great deal and great boots! These boots are lined with wool so they are sure to keep my tootsies toasty warm.
 And man oh man, do we ever need them this brutally cold winter.

The necklace came from H&M and the bracelets were a birthday gift given to me by my Mother- in- law. She is pretty amazing too! xoxo

Bahama Mama

The name of this Essie polish is me to a tee, bahama mama. I picked this up before the holidays and have been wearing it ever since. I love it! It kind of takes the blah out of winter and replaces it with a touch of zing. Oh my......  I think I may have just lost it folks. I think you get the point.... big hit in my world.

Santa also left me a few other Essie polishes in my stocking this year. I must have been a really, really good girl (wink). I got mint candy apple, tart deco, ignite the night (sparkles) and no chips ahead top coat. By the way, this top coat is fantastic. I am not going to let winter bring me down with these bright beauties.

New Essie Polish

Before we went away I picked up a couple of new Essie nail polishes. I wanted a new day-to-day color and I also wanted a darker color for a couple fancier events.

This is Chinchilly! (The day-to day) I have to say out of the two it is my favorite. It is a gray with a slight purple tint. The formula is fantastic, I could paint my nails with my eyes closed and still have it look good. (wink)

The next one I picked up is a really dark blue color, Midnight Cami. Again the formula is great, but not as good as the Chinchilly. The downfall to this color is that you will have blue nails for a while after you take the polish off. It is so pigmented that it stains the nail (even if you apply a base-coat). Super fun color though, worth the trouble to take it off if you have an event to attend. (Next time I apply it I will throw up a swatch)

While flipping through the Target flyer this week I see that they Essie polishes are on sale for $7.99.  In my opinion well worth the price for the durability, easy application and superb color selection.
