So Long Target!

As you know, Target is closing it's doors forever in Canada. The USA chain came to Canada a couple of years ago but failed to pull in enough of a profit to stay. As a result of the stores closing everything is now being marked down for clearance. I actually really enjoyed shopping at Target so I am pretty bummed to see them go.

I was at Target this past weekend and saw discounts of 20% - 40% on everything. The main reason for my visit was to pick up a new pair of sunglasses for our upcoming trip. I was happy to see the glasses were all marked down by 40%. I picked up these snazzy shades. I fell in love with the unique shape!

The next best deal right now is the cosmetics, most everything is marked down 30%. I picked up a couple of things for relatively cheap. My last (sob, sob) Target haul includes a brow pencil (Sonia Kashuk) and brow kit (NYX) and a couple of new Essie polishes (my favorite polish brand).

It's been fun while it lasted Target. Thanks for fueling my shopping experience with Starbucks and emptying my wallet with your great sense of style. You will be missed!

Anyone else kinda bummed?

Sephora Wish List

I have pulled together my current Sephora wish list. Some are newbies, others are old favorites. I love the LaVanilla deodorants and the Tokyomilk Dark fragrance is a Sephora deal I bought on a whim a while ago and I love it. I totally have become "the" pretend shopper lately (saving money for our trip), casually sliding things into my cart, knowing full well that I will not be purchasing these anytime soon. Hey, a girl can dream right??

Black Friday Sephora Haul!

It's been while since I have posted a makeup haul and let's just be honest and say it feels good! With x-mas around the corner I have been trying to save some cash and stay away from Sephora (wink). So far my plan has worked, well... until black Friday rolled around. You see, my problem is that I'm a complete sucker for a deal. I got all caught up in the glitz and deals of BF and couldn't wait to see what the 12 for $12 deals would be for Sephora. I know it sounds crazy but I woke up half an hour earlier for work and hit the Sephora website for the deals like a crazy BF shopper. Here is what I bought.

The gloss set from Make Up For Ever contains two full sized lip glosses. One is a nude color and the other a light pink. Both are super shiny and sheer. I think these were valued at $38 regular price so I was thrilled to get these for $12. They have a great little brush instead of your typical sponge tip so it allows you to paint the gloss on more precisely. Great deal!
The second was the Buxom kit containing a full sized "sculpted" mascara and a waterproof eyeliner. The mascara wand is a bit of an odd shape and is very large but the formula is great. What I like about it is it's not over the top or too much. It also does not clump or flake. It really gives me that "real" but better daytime look. So far it's a thumbs up from me.
Lastly, I picked up the Too Faced  shadow primer duo. This kit contains two tubes of eyeshadow primer, one a nude color and one a shimmery color. You have to be quick and apply your shadow before the primer dries which is a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it, it works great. This "insurance" makes your shadow more vibrant and last all day and night.

What were your BF finds? Any 12 for $12? Some were even sold out by the time I hit the site (crazy hard core shoppers, wink)

Sephora Brow Pencil

Sephora has done a great job with this brow product. Prior to this I was using the Anastasia brow wiz and really liked it too but.... not so crazy about the price tag ($27, I believe). I did some research and read mostly glowing reviews about Sephora's equivalent product. Sephora's retractable brow pencil  is almost $10 less so I ordered it on a whim and boy am I ever glad I did.
This formula is fantastic and the color I choose (rich chestnut) works perfect for me. I think I will continue to save $10 and opt for the cheaper over the more pricier. If you are on the fence about trying this product, take my word for it, it's great!

Best Bite Remix - Holiday Kit

I am sure you are well aware x-mas is just around the corner. Yup, 49 days till ol’ Saint Nick comes down the chimney once again. This time of year I always look forward to seeing what gift sets various brands come out with. I recently picked up the bite beauty holiday mini set. I am a huge fan of this natural lip company already so I did not have to think too hard before deciding whether or not I should purchase it(wink).
The set comes with four high pigmented jumbo retractable lip pencils, which make for a super easy application. They come packaged in a tin box with a mirror on the inside that allows you to take it on the go. The colors included are Sable, which is a rosy nude, Pomegranate which is a rose berry, Rhubarb a plum rose (perfect for fall) and certainly not least, Winterberry which is a very festive raspberry red.
I think this is the perfect kit that will take you through fall and winter and all of your holiday events. They are extremely long lasting and made from food grade ingredients so you know they are safe to use. Another great bonus is the pencil tip allows you to apply it like a pro.
Here are some great ideas for Santa to throw into the stockings this year. They sell for $15 each. Click here for more $15 options from bite.

Drug Store Adventures #5

I picked up few things while "out and about" last weekend.  All three of these products for under $13 (two out of three were on sale). I am a sucker for a good deal, I rarely pay full price for anything. That is my excuse this week. Here is what I purchased.

L'Oreal "new"  Lash Out Voluminous Butterfly Mascara - Blackest Black   This is a really unique asymmetrical wing tip brush that works to lengthen, stretch and volumize the lashes. It creates a dramatic lash that fringes out on the outer corners, creating that butterfly effect. I quite like this mascara so far. The color and formula are great. I have not had much clumping, and it definitely does help create a more dramatic effect. I would love to try the Miss Manga as well.

Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo Leather - 90 Vintage Plum.  I am not new to these eye-shadows that's for sure, but I really like these new "leather" matte like formulas. They smooth on very easily and last a very long time without creasing. The vintage plum is a very nice "dusty lilac" color that is perfect for fall/winter. I have yet to be disappointed by any of these eye-shadows.

Lastly, NYC Liquid Liner - 887 Black. To be honest I am not a liquid liner kind of gal. I have yet to master the "simple" technique of using them. I picked this one up for under three dollars thinking that time may have somehow improved my liquid liner game, boy was I wrong. I don't get it what-so-ever, I really don't. For some reason it just looks ridiculous on me but I love the look of it on others. As far as I know, this product seems like it would work great and the price point is super reasonable but it's not for me. I will stick to my pencils unless it's for Halloween (wink).

What's your newest drugstore find?

Tarte's Summer Palette

All summer I have been longing to own tarte's "golden days & sultry nights" amazonian clay collector's shadow palette. I was so stoked to learn that I would  be receiving it with the contest I won. To be honest I really wanted to love this 100%, but I didn't.
First the good, the packaging is great! It has a wonderful big mirror and a sturdy magnetic lid that keeps it closed when not in use. I have been using the green as a liner and the darkest (far right) to achieve a smokey bronzed eye effect. The brown on the left is a great base to start with.

The downer is the gold color. It is really flaky when you use it and falls onto your face when applying it. From just looking at it, it looks like a gorgeous gold color but turns out to not be the greatest formula at all. I see this palette is on sale now but I don't think I would run out and buy it for the three colors that are usable, even if it was on sale.

Honestly this is the most disappointed I have been with a tarte product so far. As I am sure you know, I am a big fan of tarte so it was really difficult to write something negative. I am in love with their blushes, foundations, oils and of course their lip products. What I love most about tarte is that they are free from many of the harmful ingredients found in a lot of cosmetics and they are cruelty and gluten free. But this palette..... is really not so hot.

My advice to you is if you are interested in a tarte eyeshadow palette do some research and look at the reviews before purchasing.

Have you tried this or any of tarte's palettes? If so, what's your experience like?

Tarte Foundation and Brush

Tarte's Amazonian clay 12 hour Foundation in my opinion is the creme de la creme, as they say. It is such a wonderful product and looks very natural when applied. This long-wear foundation is oil free and works wonders to diminish pores, cover imperfections and discolorations. It provides a medium to full amount of coverage without looking cakey.

"It is Powered By: Amazonian clay: This nutrient-rich, multitasking and total-skin-balancing clay reduces dryness and flakiness, improves skin clarity, elasticity, firmness, and texture while removing oil from the skin's surface for smooth application and wear." (source)
tarte foundation and brush

I am seriously in love with this foundation. It provides a matte finish although I have been mixing a bit of Laura Mercier's radiance primer in with it to give my skin a bit of
glow and dimension.

I also purchased tarte's Buffer Air Brushed Foundation Brush.  It is quite a large brush with soft, dense bristles and a big beautiful wooden handle. When the foundation is buffed on with this it really does give you that perfect airbrushed, natural look. It is very good quality and I am sure will stand the test of time. Another great investment piece (wink).

Together these two products are magic. If you are thinking about trying it don't wait a second more, buy it! Tarte products are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates,  sodium lauryl sulfates, and gluten, which earns a big check in my books!

What is your current favorite foundation?

Drug Store Adventures #4

I recently grabbed this nail color by Sally Hanson in Sand Storm from Shoppers and I am in love! Not only do I love the color but the formula is a dream to work with. The Sally Hanson Insta-Dry is a super fast drying polish that cuts waiting time in half, at least. As a  Mother of two, I don't have a whole lot of extra time to sit back and wait for my nails to dry, if you know what I mean.

The formula itself is quite thick so one coat basically covers well. I still applied a second coat but it was not even necessary. The brush is the perfect size and it's angled just right for my nails. My nail painting skills are terrible (no joke), probably the worst but with Insta-Dry they looked great without too (wink) many imperfections.

I have also been using the Sally Hansen Ultimate Shield base and top coat. It goes on smooth and helps extend the life of my polish. Another great Sally product!

I also picked up Maybelline's 24 hour Color Tattoo - Leather- in 80 creamy beige. It's a beautiful creamy dark beige/light brown color.  I use this as a base without primer and my eye shadow stays put all day. I love these shadows and I am happy they came out with some more less shimmery colors. Now that it is officially fall, I am reaching less for the shimmer and more for a matte eye look.

Tarte Holiday Collection "mini" Haul

As you all know I kind of have a thing for makeup. And.......I also kind of have a thing for tarte (high performance natural) makeup in particular (wink). My newest tarte addition is from the new
Holiday Collection 2014!
Tarte Holiday Collection
The first item is the tarte sweet dreams, chic to cheek deluxe amazonian clay blush set. It comes with four of the cutest mini blushes, amour (rosy pink), classic (candy pink), prim (soft apricot pink) and daydream (plum nude). They are just like the "big guys" although not quite as big (about 3/4 of the original size).

The color payoff and lasting ability is the same great quality as the original. This kit sells for $42 (Canadian) but when you factor in that they usually sell for $31 for one, it really is a great deal (that's what I am sticking to).
The second purchase is tartes sweet dreams, magic wish deluxe lip set. This set includes lipsurgence, lip tint (lip crayon) in wishful and lipsurgence lip gloss in magic. Both are soft pink hues that smell amazing and would complement any skin tone! The best part about this is I only paid $5 for both of these.
Tarte Holiday Collection
Both the blushes and lip products are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, tricosan, sodium laryl sufate, gluten and are dermatologist tested and cruelty free.

If you have not checked out the gift sets for this year you might wanna do that as I am sure they will be going fast. Sephora will also be offering some other exclusive tarte holiday gift sets to look forward to as well.

What set is going on your wish list?

Tarte's New Smoothing Primer

I recently picked up the new Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer from tarte. It's a primer that claims to give you the blurred effect by helping to minimize large pores and fill in fine lines, aka wrinkles. It can be applied prior to makeup application or to simply wear on it's own.
Tarte's Clean Slate Smoothing Primer

I have to say this is definitely the thickest primer I have used. It almost has a pasty consistency. When I use this I take a bit and warm it between my fingers and than smooth it over the sections of my face that I want diminished or "blurred".

" The antioxidant-rich formula is infused with vitamins C and E, and green bean extract gently absorbs into the skin delivering a surge of moisture, peptides, and other naturally-derived elixirs so that skin has a firmer and smoother look."
Tarte's Clean Slate Smoothing Primer
It definitely takes a bit to get used to and if you are not careful it can ball up a bit. If you smooth it on rather that rub it on your face you should not have this problem. I really do like this product and the way it feels on my skin after I apply it. It has a smooth powdery feel.  Like most tarte products it is formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, tricosan sodium lauryl sulfate, gluten and is dermatologist tested and cruelty free.
I have applied it to my hand without smoothing it to give you an idea of the "pasty" consistency

I would definitely recommend trying this product but I don't know about using it all over your face, it might be a bit heavy.  For targeted zones I think it works great.  I have been loving this as a great under eye primer. It helps hide my fine lines and mama eyes (wink). It definitely helps diminish pores as well.

Have you tried any of tarts's primers?

Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick

Tart's butter lipstick is something I have had on my wish list for quite some time and now they are all mine, (wink).
tarte Amazionian Butter Lipstick

This lipstick is fantastic! It is so smooth and hydrating on the lips. It really does feel like butter and it has a wonderful light minty scent and feel. Like most tarte products these lipsticks are formulated without all the nasty stuff and they contain murumuru butter, capuacu butter, shea butter, jojoba seed oil and vitamin E. All of these ingredients contribute to one awesome lipstick in my opinion.
tarte Amazionian Butter Lipstick
I chose the shades Poppy (left) and Angelic Nude (right).  Poppy is a nice warm reddish pink and Angelic nude is a gorgeous rose colored nude.
tarte Amazionian Butter Lipstick
Angelic nude is on the left and poppy on the right this time.
Poppy on the right, Angelic Nude on the left.

For being so hydrating I was really impressed with the staying power of these lipsticks. They have definitely made there way to the top of my favorite lipsticks list.

Maybe if I am a good girl this year Santa will stick a couple more of these in my stocking (wink).

These Eyes....

The eyes don't lie......  or my eyes anyways.  My hectic schedule leaves me feeling a bit sluggish at times. When I feel this way, I look this way, which is very tired.

My motto is.... if you can't make it, fake it.  Sure you were up half the night with your little one but hey a few good products and know one will ever know. (wink)

These are my three best buddies in times of need:

Bobbi Brown Corrector - Light Bisque, this is a super creamy light weight corrector that I apply with my finger tips under the eye. This helps to take away some of the darkness.

After this I apply a very small amount of tarte's amazonion clay full coverage concealer. (I bought this at tarte's last 30% off sale, but cannot find it now) This is a little thicker formula so I gently pat it under the eye very carefully trying not to tug at the delicate skin. This is a bit lighter than the corrector so it really helps to brighten up the under eye area.

Once this is all blended in I set it with a dusting of bareminerals mineral veil. This is a shear mineral finishing powder that helps lock everything into place.

This little combo seems to do the trick at hiding my less than optimal nights rest.(wink)

What's your secret? I shared mine.

First Time Winner!

A few weeks ago I entered the tarte summer contest and crossed my fingers that I would win all the wonderful, amazing products.

Well.... you'll never believe it but last week tarte informed me that I won! I am still in disbelief and need to be pinched though. I can't remember ever winning anything in my life. I am so excited!  I have not received any of the prizes as of yet, although they have sent me my tarte gift certificate to purchase some tarte cosmetics.

I spent some time tonight looking through tarte's website. I can honestly tell you that I want everything.  I love the idea of putting natural products onto my skin. Tart's products are free from all the nasty stuff found in a lot of cosmetics! I have no idea how I am going to narrow it down!

I am leaning towards these tarte products below.  Have you tried any of these?

All these products and images can be found on tarts's website:

1.   Rainforest After Dark Limited-Edition Colored Clay Eye and Cheek Palette.
2.   Colored Clay Tinted Brow Gel
3.   Maracuja Rainforest Glow Instant Matte Water Proof Body Perfecter
4.   Amazionian Butter Lipstick - In Coral Blossom
5.   LipSurgence Lipgloss - In Park Avenue Princess or True Love
6.   Amazionian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation
7.   Clean Slate Poreless 12 Hour Perfecting Primer

A huge thank you again to tarte for everything! It means the world to me!

Sephora Starstruck!

My family and I went away for a few days (watch for future post) and on the way back we stopped into Sephora. I have only ever shopped online and never stepped foot into the actual store. I am sure you all know that I am bit makeup crazed and thoroughly enjoy trying new face creams, washes etc. As you can imagine this was AMAZING!
My wonderful husband dropped me off and I was on the clock for 45 minutes of uninterrupted Sephora freedom. As I approached the store entrance my belly filled with happy butterflies. I walked in and was immediately greeted very warmly by Sephora staff.

My mission was to find a foundation and a concealer as I cannot be color matched online. The Sephora girl quickly had me sit and take off my existing makeup. She choose to try the Boscia BB cream on me. She explained that it has wonderful health benefits as well as sun protection but also offers a bit of coverage. It would be nice and light for the summer.

The Bosica BB cream is very nice and it did gave me a wonderful luminous finish although of course they were out of the smaller size.  I would much rather try something out in a small size before committing to a larger size.  Now that I know I might order the smaller one online.
boscia - B.B. Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 27 PA++
One of the foundations on my wish list was tarte's Amazionian Clay - Air Brush Foundation. This powder foundation provides more of a matte look and you can apply a little (like me) or a lot. It is extremely build-able. After trying this in the store I decided it was worth all the hype and into the"actual cart", not virtual (wink) it went.
Tarte - Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation
The girl also brushed tart's - Amazionan Clay 12 hour blush in tipsy onto my cheeks. I immediately feel in love and had to have this too. I did not mention this product at all so I am beginning to wonder if the Sephora staff have mind reading abilities. It has been on my want list for a while but had not planned on purchasing it this trip. Oppps!
Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush
I looked at the Bite display and was immediately drawn to Cin Cin which is a luminous creme lipstick in a tropical coral color. Once applied it was a done deal. SOLD! By the way Bite is an all natural, food grade quality company from Toronto, Ontario. Love this brand!
Bite Beauty - Luminous Crème Lipstick

My Sephora adventure was so awesome! I could seriously spend a whole day in there browsing products, trying things on etc. So much fun! I will admit that my recent purchases opened the VIB status which gets me a free makeover and 10% discount.  Woohooo more reasons to shop, shop, shop! (joking hubbie)

Me with my new purchases on!

Have you tried any of these products?

The Highlight Effect

So why highlight? Like contouring it helps bring definition and light to the face. It also gives you a glowing from within effect.

You apply the highlight where the light would naturally hit your face. Areas like the top of the cheekbones, directly under the eyebrows, above the eyebrows, forehead, bridge of the nose, and your cupids bow (directly above your top lip). Now there is a point of no return when highlighting, you can over do it very easily. I personally tend to hit the cheekbones, eyebrows and cupids bow very faintly. I have found a couple of different products that help me achieve the look. Here they are:

1.   Rimmel - Wake Me Up - 001 Flush of Pearl.- I picked this up on sale at the drug store not long ago. This is the more subtle of the three. I have on occasion added a touch of this to my primer to help liven up my face. If I  have a late night or am up in the night with the kids this is my quick fix for a very tired appearance the morning.

2.   Hard Candy - Pin up-  I bought this one at Walmart as I heard it was similar to some of the higher end brands.  It is more of a bronzing highlighter that works well over blush. For the price point (3.99, I believe) this is great. I can see this lasting forever.

3.   Benefit - Watt's Up - This is the high end beauty. I received a deluxe sample from Sephora but have been using this on occasion for months now and there is still a tonne of it left. I like the effect but sometimes have a hard time blending it out as it is more of creamy texture then the others. Benefit gives you the effect without being overly shimmery.
I have applied the products quite heavy so it would show up for the photo above. Normally I would not use this much on my face.  Less is best when highlighting.

Whats your go-to glow?

Summer Come Backs

Now that summer is finally here I find I am reaching for a handful of products. Some of these I have not touched since last summer. Here they are.
Maybelline Color tattoo - 24 hour eyeshadow - Barely Branded.  I have really grown extremely attached to this little wonder. It is the perfect base for just about any look you want to achieve and you do not need a primer with this. This lasts all day and does not crease. It's a two in one product that gives you great color payoff with a subtle shimmery champagne color. Perfect for the summer!

Stila - Goddess - Eye Shadow Trio-This trio always resurfaces for me in the summer time. It is three perfect shimmery bronzed colors.  I either use the color tattoo -barely branded or the lightest shade to sweep over the entire eyelid. I then use the medium color (right side) for the crease followed by a little bit of the darkest color in the corners blended outward and slightly upward into the crease. These colors have such a great payoff and they're super easy to use.  I think this trio would look great on just about anyone.

Bite - Lip-gloss- Strawberry.  When I create a bronzed eye effect I like to do a more natural lip color. Lately I have been achieving this by using a light shear pink lip-gloss.  For those of you that have not tried this brand I strongly suggest that you do. Not only are the colors gorgeous and lasting but they are natural and do not contain harmful ingredients. Bite Beauty operates in downtown Toronto and contains ingredients healthy enough to eat! I am looking forward to trying more bite products in the future.

Benefit-They're Real - Mascara - I only have a deluxe sample of this but find myself reaching for this a lot lately. The wand design provides me with the most control and I'm able to reach all the little hairs. It's great to use on the lower lashes as well. This product gives me just enough oomph without it looking fake. A great product!

Do you have any summer come backs?

A Few Summer Essentials

Now that summer is just about here I find myself grabbing these four products on a regular basis.

Ombrelle - SPF 60 Ultra Fluid Lotion - I am now (unfortunately) seeing the careless effects of the sun from my teens and 20's and I am not taking anymore chances. In the morning, after I cleanse my skin and apply moisturizer I apply this sunscreen all over my face(including lips, under eyes etc.). This is a super thin water-like lotion so it applies very easily and absorbs very quickly into the skin. It is not greasy at all and makeup can be applied right over it. You would not even know it was on. Great product. My little rant --I really hope you are all smart sun seekers, there are so many wonderful self tanners and bronzers out there now, why take the chance? You want to look 40 when your 50, do this!

Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer - Radiance Bronze- I received a deluxe sample of this with my last Sephora order. It is a bit thicker then what I am used to but the effect it gives is a really pretty. It gives you that glowy dewy sun licked skin that we all long for in the summer. I have been mixing this with my bareMinerals primer and I'm really happy with the suttle glowing results.

Dove - Invigorating Dry Shampoo- Dry shampoos are a must for me in the summer. I prefer to wash my hair every other day although on the "off" days I still like a re-fresh.  I have tried many brands but just picked this one up a couple weeks ago. It definitely works to help put the oomph back in second day hair although it is very fragranced when you spray it. I will say though, that the smell is quite fresh and it does seem to fade away after a little while.  I am not 100% sure if I would purchase this again but for $2.99 (sale) it's great!

The Body Shop - Aloe Lip Care-  I have been applying this to my lips before bed each night. It acts like an overnight treatment. The secret to lipsticks and glosses looking great boils down to the condition of your lips. When I apply this I wake up to baby soft nourished lips. I love this stuff and I can't ever see myself not having this product on my vanity. It feels so soothing almost immediately after applying it as well.

What are your summer essentials?

If I Was Stranded on an Island......

My one cosmetic choice would have to be blush! As long as I can remember wearing makeup I have always given my cheeks a rosy glow. I confess I am a huge blush fan!

I decided I would showcase three of my current blushing favorites:

Tarte - Amazionian Clay 12-hour Blush - Blissful-  This a beautiful shear peachy pink blush that stays on for hours and hours. It creates the most beautiful natural looking flush. This one is the most expensive of the three but the quality is extremely evident. I have seriously dropped this on the ground three times and it has surprisingly stayed put. This blush is nutrient rich and infused with natural clay baked by the sun. It is for all skin types and I think Blissful would work on just about all skin tones. Love this little beauty!

Josie Maran- Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee- Poppy Paradise. This is my newest addition.  I bought the mini although I wish I would have just thrown everything to wind and bought the normal size. (I have a bit of a commitment phobia when it comes to new products). I have to say I really like this product. It is a gel so you use your finger to smooth it onto the skin. Applying it is much easier then you would think and it blends in quite well. I like to apply this to the apples of my cheeks and blend outward and finish it off with a bit of a highlight (physicians formula). The color looks bright red in the container but when applied is a warm shear pink This is enriched with 50% coconut water and hydrates with vitamin E rich argan oil. It lasts for a very long time as well. It's a lovely little product and will be great for traveling.

Physicians Formula - Sexy Glow Blush - This is a very shimmery shear highlight blush. I use this to highlight my cheekbones. One thing that I absolutely love about this product is the smell. The scent is the most amazing suttle warm vanilla you could ever imagine. I love applying this for the look and the smell.
Blush is definitely my go-to cosmetic product. I feel like it awakens my face and makes me look alive when I feel rather sluggish.
I have applied these to my skin lightly but you can build all of them for more pop of color if that is what you fancy!

What blush are you loving?

Game Changers

So here is the dealio, I have to tell you about two new (to me) products that I am over the moon in awe over.  I just had to mention them in a post all their own.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills- Brow Wiz - Skinny Brow Pencil - Well if you were born in the 80s chances are your eyebrows are scarred for life as a result of some pretty heavy duty over plucking in the 90s. Big brows were a no no and now people like myself are stuck with sparse, skinny brows from the effects of that silly trend. Well now the "natural" look is in style many products have come out to help individuals like myself camouflage there sparse brows.

I started "fixing" my brows a couple of years ago. I used a brow pencil from the drugstore and was somewhat satisfied with the results although I kept hearing about the Anastasia brow pencil. Well I finally caved, I had to try and boy am I every glad I did. This little beauty is so fantastic. It really puts my oldie to shame (fit for the pit - remember that 80s show). This brow pencil allows you to make the most precise hair-like effects. It is easy to use and seems to last all day. I am officially converted. If you fill in your brows this is a must for the most natural look, I promise!

2. My second amazing find is  LaVanila- The Healthy Deodorant - Now I have tried a lot of natural deodorants in the last year and either they are to heavily fragranced or they just don't cut it.  This deodorant is so nice, it passed the jog test and it smells amazing. I ordered the pure vanilla but they also have vanilla grapefruit, vanilla summer, vanilla lavender and fresh vanilla lemon (all natural of course). I have the lavender vanilla sitting in my Sephora cart just waiting to be purchased. I bought the travel size for $13 although regret not buying the larger one for $17. This deodorant is aluminium free and contains no harsh chemicals which is right up my alley.
